Tesla is performing this fix at no cost (we got it done last November), but if you’re more the do-it-yourselfer type, u/shadrap of Reddit has shared how to fix the yellow border in the Model S/X with a $14.99 UV “nail dryer” from Amazon. Thank you @AndrewClark_aus for sharing!

We’re proud to be highlighting Teslarati’s ultra-premium Carbon Fiber aero package for the Tesla Model 3 that’s been a big hit among Tesla Corsa racers and the general Model 3 owners community.
Track-proven (winners circle at both Tesla Corsa and Laguna Seca REFUEL), this gorgeous looking Model 3 front spoiler and accompanying rear spoiler is 100% handmade in California, looks as great as it performs, and certainly aimed at owners that won’t settle for anything less than the best for their Model 3.

A while back I asked folks on Twitter about their garages and @paulbraren shared a pretty cool solution that I loved to avoid tripping with the cables on the floor. He recently published a short video where you can see it in action.
It’s tax season and this is a reminder that you can make a credit of 30% or $1,000 (whichever is less) for the equipment and installation cost of an EV charger in your home (to include panel upgrades etc). This new law can be applied retroactively for equipment put in place after Dec 2017 but can only be claimed in the year the equipment was put in service so anything made in 2018 would require an amended tax return (form 1040x). Consult your tax advisor for more information.

In this “what does Autopilot sees” tweet from Greentheonly, we can see how the neural net tries to detect traffic lights and how it makes predictions about going/stopping.
Hm, I think this is shaping in the right direction now.

Also seems the system is somewhat confused by the double-stacked traffic lights, thinks they are further away and the bounding box is all wrong too. pic.twitter.com/fXfBf9VInT
In the recent Elon Musk interview by Thirdrow Tesla Part 2, we learned that the Autopilot team is going through a foundational rewrite that goes from different networks for different cameras to combine all of them, planning, and perception. This reddit post goes over why this is a big deal and why the change was needed.

Earlier this week we got news that Tesla leaked a new air suspension coming for the Model 3. Soon after, Elon Musk denied the news and said on Twitter that only the Model S/X and Cybertruck have/will have air suspension.

Michael from Teslatunity shows us how to replace the cabin air filter and how to get rid of the ‘wet sock’ smell. Tesla should cover this under the warranty, but it’s always good to know how these things work in case you want different filters (e.g. HEPA) or for when the warranty expires.
Rich Rebuilds shows us how to inspect a used Tesla before purchase. He also gives a glimpse of Tesla’s 70 point inspection and how to take it a step further.
ChargePoint and NATSO are planning to spend $1 billion dollars to add charging to truck stops across the country. This is great news and a huge step towards implementing a robust charging infrastructure in key traveling areas across the center rural America. Go more charging options!

Tesla has filed a new patent which shows that they are working on a new steering wheel-based user interface with a bunch of new features, including one replacing the gear stalk, a bunch of touchscreens, haptic feedback, and more. This may or may not become a reality. I like the idea of less levers and more control from the steering-wheel, I wouldn’t like a steering-wheel that is too cluttered. Good design will be key here.
Is it just me or the drawing in the patent matches almost perfectly the supposed leaked redesign of the Model S that Electrek published a while ago?

As Tesla fan I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.
