Issue 176 - Tesla Autopark now uses the cameras
Not much to say, a really cool setup. Worth watching.
Luck? Maybe. Maybe superpowers. Really cool to see Autopilot swerving out of the way and not hitting the bumper.
Another discovery by Greentheonly. Only enabled by default for the refreshed Model S, although Greentheonly managed to enable it in his car. I hope Tesla releases it to the rest of the cars soon!
What was initially released as 2024.24.1 and soon after corrected to 2021.24.1 contains some cool new features:
- Active noise cancellation for refreshed S and X
- New dashcam improvements
- Nav improvements for China
And a few other things.
Production, Giga, & New locations
Nice to see the expansion of the Supercharger network, it now has 2,981 Supercharger stations and 25,100 stalls. Not bad!
Leaked photos show some calibrations of the production line. According to the person who published the pictures, the target date to start the production of the Model Y in Giga Texas is early October.
The video is in German and I didn’t understand a word, but it is cool to see the factory from the inside.
We knew that Tesla’s priority for the year was for Austin is to start producing Model Ys, fewer things can go wrong with something that is already in production vs. a new vehicle. Tesla has now updated the Cybertruck page with the following message “You will be able to complete your configuration as production nears in 2022.”
They are close, but that is because the driver of the Plaid S stops pressing on the pedal at times 😂
💡 Tip of the week
The best compilation of voice commands (in English): Voice commands are an effective way of doing actions that otherwise would take your eyes off of the road, the problem is getting to know what is possible and what is not. Luckily for us, the Tesla Owners Online community has compiled a lot (all?) of them, take a look at the app: https://teslavoice.glideapp.io/
🤓 What the acronym?
As Tesla fan I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.
