The US administration is looking into extending the EV rebates to 400,000 more cars per manufacturer. Even if the bill passes, it will be several months until it goes into effect. Good news nonetheless.
Tesla is planning on reducing Supercharging prices by 50% to see if they’re able to influence the days people travel and prevent them to do it on peak days. Nice idea, I assume the Tesla population is big enough for Tesla to try this, which is also a great thing!
Our good friend John from Tesla Owners Silicon Valley was featured in an article talking about the club and the latest FSD Beta update. John has been one of the few people who have publicly been testing the FSD Beta and has put a bunch of videos out there to show the rest of us what the beta is capable of.
A lot is said about EVs and catastrophes, in particular, uninformed people like to make fun of what would happen to an EV when the power goes out. @wk057 - famous Tesla tinkerer - has published a great writeup explaining the range loss for some Model S owners after the software update 2019.16. The article is really informative, I highly recommend it to be read in full.
We all know that Tesla likes leaving clues to future products in their marketing images, the latest example is the bottle of Tesla Tequila on the table of the poster featuring the solar roof. This time, Tesla wasn’t that subtle and put half a bike in plain sight of one of their posters, is Tesla going to be producing an e-bike soon? One can just dream…
The fact that Tesla is not close to launching a van yet doesn’t mean that Elon Musk won’t publicly share his thoughts about it. Just recently, in an interview with Joe Rogan on the comedian’s podcast, Elon indicated that a van’s design would be more favorable to equip solar panels for stationary charging. How could that be?
As Tesla fan I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.
