Issue 215 - Cyber-Ice Cream-Truck

FSD Beta & Autopilot

Keeping humans safe on the dark streets

FSD Beta keeps getting better and better and sometimes can clearly see things that we, humans, have a hard time with. This is a great example of that!

News about platform regulation in Europe

Seems that the European Commissioner and Elon had a chat, and hopefully this means that Tesla has a clear way of taking their Autopilot and FSD to Europe in the same way that it works in the US.

Solar & Savings

Tesla cumulative energy impact

For those who still think Tesla is a car company, here’s another piece of proof that it is not, it’s much more! In the past decade, Tesla solar panels produced more than enough clean energy to power every Tesla factory and every vehicle during that time. Gimme some ☀️.

Tesla increases prices for all Model S, 3, X, and Y variants in Canada

Not so good news for folks in Canada, Tesla has been adjusting their prices. The price of FSD Capability has increased by $2,200, and both Model Y variants were also increased by $1,000 and $1,100. All variants of all refreshed Model S and X were increased by $600. The biggest price increase belongs to the Model 3 Long Range (LR), now $3,000 more expensive.

Electic cost vs. Gas cost

Despite this being an unusually high amount of miles per 30 days (7K miles!) the saving in fuel cost is still very significant and relevant. According to the Redditor who shared this info, they saved about $1K. Not bad!

Cybertruck & Plaid

New swivel screen for Tesla Model S Plaid

We included a video of the swivel last week, here is another one but with more detail. What do you think? Do you think it’s useful?

DIY

DIY Tesla HEPA filter on a ‘21 Model Y without stinky smell

This Reddit user had problems with his cabin filters (stinky smell we are all familiar with). When the new HEPA filter for the Model Y came out, he noticed how much better the design was at preventing water from getting to it and, since no retrofit was available, decided to fix the problem himself. And… he got the missing parts from Tesla for only $70.50 🤯.

🤓 What the acronym?

As Tesla fan I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.

  • FSD -  Full Self-Driving
  • HEPA - High-Efficiency Particulate Air
