If you own an iPhone and an Apple Watch, you can now use Stats App for Tesla to enable a watch face complication and automatically open the trunk or frunk when you approach your car. This will be especially useful when you head to the car with your hands full after groceries. Cool addition!
Just a simple sign with a powerful message: Tesla is opening over 75 Superchargers in Vegas by the end of the year.
Cybertruck Master Candidate (aka Series 8) was spotted outside of GigaBerlin. A few changes are worth noting: the frunk is flush, it now has recovery hooks installed, and the tonneau cover looks a bit different. It’s hard to believe that we are just a few weeks away from seeing the first ones delivered!
This past week, a Cybertruck was seen sporting a blue pixel pattern wrap that has received positive feedback from the community. Elon mentioned over three years ago the option to wrap the Cybertruck. With all these different wraps seen in the wild, one can only think that Tesla is going to offer this option themselves. What do you think?
Amazing video of Optimus (also known as Tesla Bot) sorting objects autonomously. Optimus, like FSD 12, uses end-to-end neural networks; it captures video and outputs movements to the robot.
Fantastic video by the Audio team at Tesla. Tesla’s audio team aims for top-tier sound systems, utilizing specialized tools like an anechoic chamber and a simulator named Tessie for detailed fine-tuning. Key aspects like tonal balance and loudness are prioritized, with speaker placement and a large subwoofer in the Model Y designed for optimal acoustics. In-house collaboration and an app for diagnostics and digital signal processing ensure a customized listening experience, complete with video and gaming capabilities.
Since Tesla released the highly anticipated Highland, there have been rumors that they might not be making a Performance version anymore. I personally doubt this, as the Performance version has the best margin for Tesla among the different Model 3 options. This week, a document posted on Twitter suggested that the Performance version will not only exist but will actually come with some kind of new motor. The VIN breakdown now contains a new letter for it. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
In the new update 2023.32.4, Tesla has borrowed some visualizations that were previously exclusive to FSD Beta and added them to Autopilot, making them more accurate and containing much more information than the previous Autopilot ones. In my opinion, eventually, all the UI will be the same (as long as hardware permits), regardless of whether FSD is activated or not; the difference will be that with FSD, the car will handle the driving.
As Tesla fan I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.
