According to Elon, the ‘Beta Button’ will request permission to assess driving behavior using the Tesla insurance calculator, and only if the driving behavior is good for 7 days after you allow Tesla to monitor your driving activity, access to the FSD Beta will be granted.

Tesla insurance is currently offered in California only. The regulatory process for approval to offer insurance it’s different per state, slow, and complex. Elon recently shared on Twitter that they are trying to offer it in Texas next month and in New York next year.
It seems like Tesla is pushing hard for their Solar Roof by adding a new $500 referral bonus, making it the only remaining referral bonus at the moment in Tesla’s referral program.
Sad news, as of September 18th, Tesla announced they will not be offering Tesla rewards until further notice. As mentioned in the previous article, only Solar Roof remains eligible for a referral bonus. Thank you to everyone who has used our code in the past, we are really honored!
The Model Y passes the test at ~49 mi/h (80 km/h) and the RAV4 doesn’t pass the test even at a slower speed (~43 mi/h or ~70km/h). Two different drivers do the test with each car achieving similar results. Pretty amazing.
