Tesla has started rolling out the latest software update, 2020.12.5, to owners outside the private Beta. As anticipated last week, the main new feature introduced in 2020.12.5 is the ‘Dashcam Viewer’. This software update also brings us out of order Supercharger stalls, new launch mode for Raven Model S and X Performance, and enhanced driving visualizations (cones, yay!) to Tesla cars with HW2.5 and MCU2 (it was HW3 only until now).
Here are the release notes (thank you @CodingMark for sharing!):
Check out the new Dashcam viewer, which allows to view Sentry Mode and Dashcam videos directly in your car’s main screen, in action:

Note that you have to be in park mode to be able to launch the viewer. Otherwise, tapping the camera icon will save the footage, just like it did before the update. Note: A storage unit for the videos is still need it, if you don’t have one yet, we recommend PureTesla’s.
I was wondering if it would be possible to watch a movies from the TeslaCam drive and Mark was kind enough to try it out. Well, it seems to work (no audio, tho):
So if you format the SavedClips files properly, you can watch pretty much any movie you want now using the Dashcam Viewer in your Tesla with update 2020.12.5 🤯🤯🤯🎥🎞📽🎬📺

Cheers to @tesletter for the idea to try this!! 🍻 pic.twitter.com/DVbEM5REOb
The release notes also list ‘Out of order Supercharger stalls’ as a new feature, however, some Tesla owners had already reported this feature after the 2020.8.1 update:
Sorry you got that crappy photo. If I knew you were tweeting it I would've given you a better photo 😂

A couple more things in this update:
Raven Model S and X Performance get a new launch mode, here’s what Greentheonly shared on Twitter:

- To improve traction, Adaptive Suspension performs a "cheetah stance" (lowers the front axle) and adjusts damping. pic.twitter.com/4QNhN50rPX
And it also seems like Tesla cars with Hardware 2.5 and MCU2 can now see cones, which was only available in cars with Hardware 3 (FSD) until now:
I just got update 2020.12.5 and I see Cones but don’t yet have HW3. Huh? I thought Cones only happen with HW3? $tsla
