What to do if Tesla update release notes are blank

What to do if Tesla update release notes are blank

It’s been a while since, every time there’s a new software update, I get blank release notes. A big nice blank screen like this one below:

Based on the information I have, I think this happens to Tesla cars with MCU1 only. With the latest software updates (2019.36.1 and 2019.36.2.1) I’ve seen quite a few people asking about this on social media, so I wanted to share how I do it to see the release notes after a software update.

Once the installation has finished, get out of the car. Next time you get in the car, open the release notes by tapping on the T and then on ‘release notes’ next to the software version.

Wait a few seconds (maybe even minutes). After that, you should be able to see the release notes. It has worked every time.

Hopefully this bug gets fixed at some point but, meanwhile, at least you now know how to access the release notes after a new software update.

I hope this helped, please reach out if you have questions or I missed something important (contact at tesletter dot com).
