Battery day is approaching! The event will be held on September 22, 2020 in Fremont, California. Battery Day will be happening on the same day and location as the Tesla Shareholders event, which means a few lucky stockholders will be able to attend both in person! If you’re not amongst the selected to attend the event in Fremont, California, here’s when and where to watch the live streaming:
- When: September 22, 20220 at 1.30 pm Pacific Time
- Where: The links to the Shareholders Event and to the separate Battery Day event will be posted here:
Expectations for Tesla Battery Day are high and there has been a lot of speculation about what is going to be announced. It looks like new battery technology and energy density improvements are going to be a big part of it. I also think Tesla is going to be sharing their plans to mass scale battery production. Bringing cell production in-house plus extending their current partnerships- like the one recently announced with Panasonic in Giga Nevada- is going to give Tesla a huge advantage over its current and future competitors in the EV market. Can’t wait to hear all about it!
If you want to learn what all the fuss is about, or just can’t get enough of the rumors about what’s going to happen on the 22nd, here’s our Battery Day predictions recap. Enjoy!
1. Gali, HyperChange TV
About a month ago, Gali from HyperChange TV shared his predictions for Battery Day. For those of you who don’t know Gali, he was part of the original Third Row Tesla team and, if you ask me, very knowledgeable in this space.
2. More from Gali and James Stephenson
More recently, he also discussed Battery Day expectations with James Stephenson. Vehicle to Grid, what?!
3. Tesla Geeks Show & Eli Burton
Eli Burton (@RealLifeStarman) shared his Battery Day predictions at the Tesla Geeks Show earlier this week. Predictions start at minute 29.
4. InsideEVs
This video published on InsideEVs discusses how “Tesla is going to need every battery possible” (agreed!) and their strategy to address that need.
5. Teslarati
This article published on Teslarati ‘Tesla Roadrunner cell leak hits that Battery Day will be more insane than expected’ offers a good overview of what we know and what it is expected- based on that information- regarding the new battery tech.
6. Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley Club
And last but not least, check out what the community around the Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley Club is predicting on Twitter:
